Review: Ibiza-based Londoner Kellie Allen is making increasingly vital moves of late. She has played all over some of Europe's finest parties and dropped, or is about to drop, music on labels such as PIV Records and Boogeyman. This one on House Puff in France is a perfect indication of her sound - classically informed house music with fresh perspective. 'Back In The 80's' is a New Jersey vibe, 'I Know' has a spaced out synth feel and 'Parisian Summer' is more kinetic and future-facing with slick grooves making you move. Closer 'Funk For Peace' is another nice and breezy house cut perfect for balmy nights.

Review: The latest addition to House Puff records, Dutch DJ Aron Volta teams up with Frenchman DJ Steaw for the first in a series of exciting house EPs. Steaws' soul-inspired, bass-rich productions are the perfect counterbalance to the rolling groove on Volta's side 1, with 'Room 101' having a disco feel, whilst 'Lyre' borrows from trance sensibilities in its melodies. Side 2 sees the bass turned up a notch in piano house cut 'Inner Beauty', borrowing from classic New York 80s House, and a more melodic, rhythmic 'Cosmic Dream' is a throwback fantasy for house oldheads. Split Ep1 is a sign of even more to come hopefully, and this small sample will definitely excite you.

Review: The 'House Puff Split' EP series continues with The Checkup and DJ Merci, two key figures with distinctive sounds. This time out they offer a sound infused with the essence of '90s house, but also their signature soulful edge and skilful use of MPCs and drum machines. A standout is the collaboration with talented singer Mona Lee, whose smooth, powerful vocals blend perfectly with the vibrant drums and synths to make for an enchanting atmosphere that rally draws you in deep. The ever-on-point DJ Steaw adds two dynamic tracks that merge deep and acid house influences and make for two equally explosive weapons.

The A-side kicks off with 'Hot Like That,' delivering thumping warehouse house music infused with serious 90s house sounds. 'Pressure You' follows with a more upbeat vibe, blending high-energy house elements with deepness and a tracky vibe, ensuring a fun experience. Flipping over to the B-side, 'Northern Line' introduces deep bass, fun house music, and a hypnotic groove, accentuated by chords of beauty that mesmerise the senses. 'Don't Care' rounds off the EP with deeper house vibes, boasting addictive smoothness that keeps listeners hooked. Together, De Hey and DJ Steaw masterfully fuse nostalgic elements with vibrant synths and buoyant house rhythms, crafting four musings that are primed for the clubs. Four groove-inducing tracks that will undoubtedly captivate audiences on any dancefloor.

Released on the strong French label House Puff, the EP showcases the artists' mastery of atmospheric melodies and infectious rhythms. 'Morning Dew' sets the tone with its deep house vibes, complemented by ethereal vocals and a serene atmosphere. Rama To NY' transports listeners to the golden era of New York house with its nostalgic synths and energetic beats while 'United Freedom Inc' captivates with its pulsating bassline and groovy vocals. 'Jacuzzi Days' provides a mellow conclusion that is perfect for winding down the night. With its seamless blend of classic house elements and contemporary influences, Jacuzzi Days EP offers some great dancefloor house music.

Review: Dutch artist Marsolo trips across Europe to find himself on French label House Puff Records here - and that's not where his journey stops because his grooves then take him all the way to the stars as his brand of deep house has plenty of cosmic style. Though his drums and grooves are delightful, it is his ability to speak with real meaning through his synths which elevate these tracks - vamping chords make way for hands in the air top lines and lush soul smears dissipate to allow funkier lines to appear, particularly on the lovely 'Passion Seeker.' These are stylish cuts with a classic sound but brought right up to date.

Review: Proper house intonations from New York's Coral O'Connor here on his 'Iced & Dirty' EP. Returning to House Puff after his successful 'Studio 42', the producer demonstrates a deft knowledge of what makes New York house truly tick, yet also an understanding of what might help push it forward into the present day as it evolves. Wompy drum punhes, surreptitious chords, understated organs and garage shuffles make up its delicious oeuvre.

Review: The latest drop on House Puff finds label boss DJ Steaw teaming up with another kindred spirit for the second in a series of split EPs. Parisian deep house don Steaw has a well-established sound dealing in the kind of headsy, 90s-inspired gear which will never tire, and he's true to that vibe with the bumping garage mood of 'Jazzy Thang' and the smouldering throw down of his 'Brooklyn By Night' mix of 'Le Petit Monsieur'. The A side however is given over to Simon Shaw, who offers up a slick, techy strain of grooves ranging from the chunky warm-up fare of 'Pipes' to the crisp, shuffled daydreamer 'For The Love' - one which slots in perfectly with Paris' undying love affair with minimal tech house.
